A Song to My King
Thy praise, how shall I sing it?
Thy great works, how shall I tell?
Thy great love, how shall I proclaim it?
You, O Lord, in whom I do dwell?
Words could never convey it,
No melody could capture it well,
No song could fully grasp it,
Only a part, could I manage to tell.
My Lord, it is only to You I commit,
Only You can save souls from Hell,
And by Your blood, me You did acquit,
When on my knees, before You I fell.
My old way, I never more want it,
Your way I now follow and tell,
Abba Father, how gladly I cry it,
In tenderness, love, and mercy, You excel.
My love is for You, my King,
My praise is for You, my Saviour,
My worship is for You, my Jesus,
My everything is for You, forever.
